Formål
Lysakervassdragets Venner (heretter LvV) skal fremme bevaring av natur-, historie- og kulturmiljøet i og langs Lysaker- og Sørkedalselva og deres tilflytende bekker og elver, som områder for almen trivsel og bruk.
LvV skal arbeide for en helhetlig forvaltning og utvikling av vassdraget og de tilsluttende områdene ved å trekke lokalkunnskap og -innsats inn i et samarbeid med offentlige etater og organisasjoner med interesse og ansvar for vassdraget.
LvV skal gjøre vassdraget kjent blant publikum gjennom organiserte aktiviteter, gjennom mediene og gjennom faglige utgivelser og uttalelser.
Aims
The Friends of the Lysaker catchment (known by its Norwegian initials, LvV) shall promote the protection of the natural, historic and cultural environment along the Lysaker and Sørkedal Rivers and their tributary rivers and streams, as areas for public enjoyment.
LvV shall work for a comprehensive and integrated management and development of the river system and its adjacent areas by drawing local knowledge and voluntary effort into a cooperation with public authorities and other organisations with an interest and responsibility for the catchment.
LvV shall promote the river system among the general public through organised activities, through the media and by authoritative publications and comments.
